Kompleks Creative
Located on historic Black Wall Street in Downtown Durham, Kompleks provides a variety of creative services for entrepreneurs, startups, small businesses, educational institutions, non-profit organizations and artists.
As Kompleks Creative’s head cheerleader since 2006, I have had the opportunity to wear many hats and develop a variety of skills.
While developing an interest in marketing and communications during the time that I was working in North Carolina Central University’s public relations office, Kompleks allowed me to apply my knowledge and expertise to small businesses. I worked closely with our principal and creative director on digital marketing strategy, which included search engine marketing, a blog and an email campaign. As time progressed, it was expanded to include social media, information architecture and search engine optimization (SEO).
When we redesigned our website, I was responsible for writing all of our content and ensuring it was optimized for SEO. Among other things, today, you can find me following through on the organic leads that we receive from my efforts and creating content for our social media profiles. If a client is in need of marketing services, the two of us team up to strategize ways to achieve their goals.
